Qu’est-ce qu’une conférence TED ?

Depuis 25 ans, la conférence TED aux Etats-Unis rassemble des esprits brillants dans leur domaine pour partager leurs idées avec le monde. Face a son succès, TED a voulu permettre à la communauté élargie de ses fans de diffuser l’esprit TED autour du monde. En plus des conférences aux Etats-Unis, aujourd’hui il y a des conférences TED à Oxford, en Inde et en Afrique. Les participants aux conférences sont choisis par TED car les organisateurs souhaitent que les échanges entre locuteurs et participants soient du plus haut niveau. Les sujets traités sont très vastes – économie, culture, design, technologie, social…

Qu’est-ce qu’une conférence TEDx ?

Le programme TEDx a été créé pour permettre au plus grand nombre un accès aux idées et à la passion pour la connaissance. Le x signifie qu’il s’agit d’un événement qui est organisé indépendamment tout en respectant des critères d’organisation définis par l’organisation officielle de TED. Pour pouvoir organiser un événement TEDx avec une participation minimum de plus de 100 personnes, il faut avoir participé à  une conférence officielle TED. Si le projet est étayé et conforme aux objectifs TED, il permet d’obtenir la licence pour organiser un TEDx d’envergure. Cette année 2011, TEDx a atteint les 2000 evènements organisés dans le monde entier dans 80 pays et en 25 langues.

Un événement exceptionnel

Initié par Caroline Phillips, TEDster et détentrice de la licence TEDxBasqueCountry, cet évènement d’exception aura lieu sur la côte basque à l’Espace Bellevue à Biarritz.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
